Here’s why Your Dog Needs another Canine BFF!

All animals have a distinct nature and instincts. Dogs, in particular, are known as pack animals. Their interactions with other dogs are more than just playtime. It's their chance to reconnect with their kind. Sniffing around one another, fighting or licking are how they communicate, and this communication is essential to their well-being.

Dogs Have A Status Quo As Well

Dogs are a lot like humans when it comes to social interactions. Most aren’t made for a solitary life. Every breed is known for its distinct personality traits

In fact, if you visit a dog park, you’ll quite literally see something similar to a high school cafeteria. Pomeranians and Poodles strutting about with an air of sophistication resembling the prom queen and her clique. There will also be German Shepherds and Dalmatians, looking handsome and brooding in the corner. You’ll notice the self-proclaimed loners, i.e., the French Bulldogs and pugs, and the very noticeable Labrador Retrievers and Huskies, acting much like the popular Jocks at school.

What we’re trying to say is that dogs need to socialize with other dogs to stay happy. The nature and pace of this interaction will differ depending on their breed and personality.

Friends Can Influence Better Behavior

If a dog doesn’t interact with other dogs often, it’ll lose touch with its own kind and develop aggressive tendencies toward them.

Spending time with other dogs will teach your dog to share its things and territory with others. It will also take care of any trust issues, and your dog will feel more confident in general. You might even notice them getting friendlier around humans.

If your dog seems unfriendly or aggressive, it's more so because of fear than any anger. Being around other dogs will help it neutralize its mood and behavior.

A Tired Dog Is A Happy Dog

You can run around with your dog all you like, but you cannot compete with a furry friend. As a dog parent, you may wish you were enough, but the truth is, you need to let them go and explore the world every once in a while.

Running around and engaging in rough play with another dog is a very healthy activity. It will get your dog the required exercise and help to release any pent-up energy. You will find that your dog is much calmer at home. Additionally, it will improve its appetite and sleep quality.

Do you know what a great place to make friends is? A dog pawty! And if you throw the party, it'll instantly make your dog super popular, resulting in tons of new canine friends! Check out our cool packages and get in touch with us to start planning.
